Direct Effect® Innovation Challenges allow students to shape real-life marketing campaigns:


Open to all collegiate marketing, design, and business students and faculty, the NAMF Direct Effect® Innovation Challenge is a two-round competition that provides students a chance to get real-world experience, build their portfolio, and rub elbows with potential future employers.

The first round is now complete, and the finalists will soon begin conceptualizing a full, multichannel integrated marketing campaign that they will present via video to marketing executives in February 2022.

Calling all collegiate marketing, design, and business students and faculty!

Join Direct Effect for an opportunity to shape a real-life marketing campaign through a nationwide competition.

This two-round competition is a chance to get real-world experience, build your portfolio, and rub elbows with potential future employers. The first round, due December 1, is open to all students.

Those selected to move on to the final round will conceptualize a full, multichannel integrated marketing campaign that they will present via video to marketing executives in January 2022.

Faculty

Access materials, learn more, offer this opportunity
to your students, and spread the word.

  • Our new Challenge format is flexible and self-serve, and participation can be offered to students as enrichment, extra credit, or a classroom assignment.
  • All participants will be invited to several, optional, online collaboration sprints.
  • Faculty can distribute the Challenge or form a select team of students to advise / work with.
  • Students can participate individually, in teams, or as clubs.
  • Registration offers easy access to the creative brief, concept template, and resources.

  • Students can participate individually, in teams, or as clubs.
  • For a leg up in the competition, students can recruit a faculty advisor to their team.
  • All participants will be invited to several, optional, online collaboration and Q&A sessions.
  • Everyone will have easy access to the creatve brief, concept template, and resources.
  • Win a trip to Pensacola, FL this Spring for the National Naval Aviation Museum Tech Summit.*  

    *Up to 4 students from the winning team will win a trip to attend
